Male box truck driver loses life to rear-end collision in Montgomery 

MONTGOMERY, AL – A male box truck driver lost his life as a result of a rear-end collision on Interstate 85 Monday evening, WSFA reports.

The events unfolded after 5 p.m. when the box truck driver rear-ended an SUV and then crashed into a concrete barrier. The force of the collision ejected the truck driver. EMS crews rushed him to Jackson Hospital, where he later succumbed to fatal injuries.

The truck driver has since been identified as 50-year-old Dakus M. Nikon from Montgomery.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the details behind the collision.
