Jackknifed semi closes part of I-10 WB near Loxley

BALDWIN COUNTY, AL — Part of westbound Interstate 10 was shut down last Wednesday, January 24, near Loxley after a semi-truck jackknifed, according to FOX10 News.

The accident impacted the westbound lanes of I-10 near Exit 44 to Highway 59. It was first reported by FOX10 at 9:05 a.m.

At the time of the initial report, the jackknifed truck had the roadway shut down at the exit, causing a traffic backup that stretched back to Exit 38 at Highway 181.

It’s unclear what led up to the crash, but officials indicated that one other vehicle was involved.

No major injuries or hospital transports were immediately confirmed.
