1 seriously hurt in double semi-truck crash in Brunbridge 

BRUNDIDGE, AL – A tractor-trailer driver crashed into another big rig coming out of a John Deere dealership, causing one of the motorists to suffer injuries Tuesday.

Brundidge Police received a call to head to the 8000th block of Highway 231 around 3 p.m., according to WDHN. Immediately after police arrived, a Hayne’s ambulance rushed the truck driver to a hospital in Dothan.

The other motorist appeared to be unharmed. Officials did not specify which driver was injured.

Aside from police,  Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Agency, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Brundidge Volunteer Fire Department, and the Troy Fire Department all responded to the scene.

Crews immediately issued closures, shutting down both the north and southbound lanes of the highway (along Veterans Boulevard) after arriving at the scene.

Brundige police are taking the lead on this investigation and have not released additional information, which includes mentons of any citations or criminal charges filed against the drivers involved.
