1 life claimed, 1 hospitalized after Harvest car vs. box truck wreck 

HARVEST, AL – A 33-year-old woman driving a car slammed head-on to a box truck, driven by a 53-year-old woman, which led to the car driver’s death and injured the truck motorist Monday. 

This crash took place before 6:30 p.m. on Old Railroad Bed Road near Northwest Rock Creek Boulevard, WHNT reports. Upon arrival, ambulance crews rushed the ladies to Huntsville Hospital. During the transportation, the 33-year-old woman, later identified as Brenda A. Rivera, passed away. 

The truck driver, later identified as Dionne E. Bishop made it to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. 

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said an investigation is underway. Although the contributing factors remain undisclosed.
