TUSCALOOSA COUNTY, AL – An unspecified vehicle hit a 2012 Hyundai Accent, which caused a fiery collision with a semi, claiming the Hyundai driver’s life.
This multi-vehicle wreck happened around 6 a.m. on I-59 Thursday, according to ABC3340. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said that the first vehicle was overturned when it collided with a Hyundai.
After the Hyundai and semi collided, the Hyundai driver, later identified as 63-year-old Daryl W. Brown Sr., was thrown from his car despite wearing a seatbelt, and the 2023 Freightliner tractor-trailer caught on fire.
Brown died at the scene, while the semi-motorist and other car driver were hospitalized for unspecified wounds.
