CULLMAN COUNTY, AL — A FedEx truck was involved in a multi-vehicle wreck Wednesday near southwest Cullman that claimed the life of a 53-year-old Pelham resident, according to WHNT.
The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal accident happened on the southbound lanes of I-65 near mile marker 306 and County Road 436.
Following the wreck, the Cullman County Coroner’s Office confirmed the Pelham resident’s death.
No information regarding the cause or nature of the crash was immediately shared, but after a closure, the left southbound lane was reopened by the time of WHNT’s update at 3:44 p.m., with the right lane soon to reopen.
It’s unclear whether anyone else was seriously injured and/or had to be hospitalized.
