ESCAMBIA COUNTY, AL – A woman was killed when a tractor-trailer crashed into her vehicle on I-65 near Atmore early Friday morning, WEAR reports.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the collision happened near mile marker 60 on I-65, about three miles north of Atmore, around 5 am.
The victim, 74-year-old Victoria Rodgers of Saraland, was driving a Volkswagen Tiguan when the tractor-trailer struck her. Her vehicle then collided with a cable barrier and rolled over.
Rodgers was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is under investigation.
