PEOTONE, IL – A crash involving a van and a tractor-trailer at a Route 50 intersection killed two and injured several others on Friday night, Patch reports.
According to authorities, the accident occurred at the intersection of Route 50 and County Line Road around 7:35 pm. Seven occupants were trapped in the van and needed to be extricated.
Of those seven, six were taken to area hospitals, two of them in critical condition. A child was airlifted to Comer Children’s Hospital in Chicago. One person was pronounced at the scene.
