LAFAYETTE COUNTY, FL – A collision on County Road 53 involving a semi-truck left one dead late Friday morning, WCTV reports.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred near Northwest Cairo Road just before noon. A 78-year-old man driving a Toyota crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a semi-truck.
The Toyota driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver sustained minor injuries.
