BENTON, IL – A semi-truck crashed and rolled over, spilling its cargo and causing major delays on I-57 in Franklin County early Monday morning, WSIL reports.
According to Illinois State Police, the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-57 near the 76 mile marker around 4:38 am. The rollover caused 46,000 pounds of applesauce to spill across the highway.
Northbound lanes were closed for around four hours. No injuries were reported.
