Michigan Semi-Truck Crash Kills One

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MI – A man was killed in a collision with a semi-truck on I-96 Monday afternoon, ClickOnDetroit reports.

The accident occurred near Mason Road in Howell Township around 1:44 pm. The semi-truck driver was headed westbound when traffic congestion caused him to slow his vehicle to a complete stop. A Dodge Ram then collided with the rear of the trailer.

The driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead at the scene. The semi driver was unharmed, and a passenger suffered minor injuries.

Drugs or alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
