Tow truck vs. water tanker in Osceola Co. leaves 1 dead, 1 seriously injured

OSCEOLA CO., FL – A collision between a tow truck and a water tanker truck on Monday morning resulted in the death of a 24-year-old tow truck driver.

According to WJXT, the incident occurred at 9:22 a.m. at Poinciana Parkway and Marigold Avenue in Kissimmee.

Troopers say he water tanker truck, operated by a 65-year-old Winter Park man, entered the inside lane, colliding with the tow truck hauling a Mercedes Benz.

The impact ejected the tow truck driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. His identity is being withheld pending further investigation.

The tanker-truck’s driver was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.
