Tire Failure Causes Truck Accident in Florida

NORTH PORT, FL – Two trucks collided on I-75 after a blown tire caused one vehicle to lose control Wednesday morning, ABC 7 reports.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred near Toledo Blade Boulevard in Sarasota County around 10:25 am. The right rear tire of a truck pulling a trailer experienced a “catastrophic failure,” causing the driver to veer into the opposite lane and collide with a semi truck, where the truck then overturned.

The truck driver suffered minor injuries. The semi driver was unharmed.
