MORRISVILLE, PA – A woman was killed in a wrong-way crash on Route 1 in Bucks County Tuesday afternoon, 6abc reports.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the accident occurred near the Pennsylvania Avenue interchange around 1:15 pm. An 81-year-old woman was driving northbound in the southbound lanes and collided with a tractor-trailer.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead. The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to Jefferson Bucks Hospital with unknown injuries.
Route 1 was closed for several hours while police investigated the collision.
