Man charged following tractor-trailer collision in Ernul 

ERNUL, NC – A 68-year-old man was charged with failing to maintain lane control in connection with a tractor-trailer collision that happened off Highway 17 on Thursday.

According to WBTV, the collision was reported around 8:15 a.m. The 68-year-old man, later identified as Dennis Williams, lost control of his truck, which led him to crash into a utility pole and then into Little Swift Creek.

The impact of the collision left more than 100 customers without power and front-end damage to the truck’s cab.

No injuries were reported.
