BREAUX BRIDGE, LA – A 60-year-old man died after failing to negotiate a curve and crashing his truck off Louisiana Highway 31 on Monday.
KPEL965 said the single-truck crash took place around 5 p.m. on the highway’s southbound lanes near Oleste Tauzin Road. When the driver drifted off the right side of the road while trying to negotiate the curve, he tried to regain control of his vehicle, but overcorrected, leading him to crash into a building. His truck overturned, and he died from his injuries at the scene.
The driver has since been identified as Alex James from Scott.
Louisiana State Police started an investigation.
