Man, 34, killed in pickup, commercial truck collision in Keachi

KEACHI, LA – A 34-year-old man was killed following a collision between a pickup truck and a commercial truck Saturday, according to CBS 19.

The crash occurred around 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of Louisiana Highway 172 and Louisiana Highway 169. Louisiana State Police’s preliminary details show that the 34-year-old man, driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, was going east on Hwy. 172 when he collided with a 2025 Mack Pinnacle going south on Hwy. 169.

The 34-year-old man was ejected from his pickup truck and died from his injuries at the scene. Police identified him as Zapien German from Carthage, Texas.
