ANN ARBOR, MI – Hundreds of glass bottles fell from a big rig as a result of a crash involving a car on I-94 last Tuesday, Sept. 2, ClickonDetroit reports.
Law enforcement said the truck and car collided around 3 p.m. along Jackson Avenue. The truck also damaged a portion of the concrete wall. After colliding, one of the vehicles — a boat with a trailer — was also struck by either one of the vehicles or by debris from the wreck.
Despite the nature of the crash, no one appeared to have been seriously injured.
Due to the significance of the collision, crews and law enforcement were left with no choice but to shut down the west and eastbound lanes for a couple of hours for the clean-up process.
Officials reopened one westbound lane at 5 p.m. and then both directions of traffic by 5:45 p.m.
Authorities are working to determine the contributing factors behind the wreck.
