Crosby fire crews extinguish semi-truck fire after crash with train

CROSBY, TX – Crosby firefighters extinguished the flames from a tractor-trailer fire that resulted from a crash with a train on Crosby Dayton Road on Wednesday.

The collision occurred around 11:30 a.m. along Ramsey Road, according to ABC 13. Fire crews also worked to make sure the diesel fuel was contained. HCSO Patrol District 3 also summoned Harris County Pollution Control to make sure the containments were cleaned up and discarded properly.

Officials shut down the area for several hours for the cleanup process.

A temporary shelter-in-place was enacted but quickly lifted when authorities realized that no tank cars were ruptured or damaged.
