GREER, SC – A 55-year-old man was killed in a rear-end collision involving a trash truck that happened in Greer on Wednesday.
The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. on the 3060th block of Highway 101, WYFF4 reports. Preliminary details show that the 55-year-old man, driving a 1997 GMC truck, had rear-ended a disabled trash truck in the middle of the road.
The 55-year-old man died a short time later. The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified him as Rogelio Hernandez-Grijalva, a Greer local.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is working to determine how the crash unfolded.
