HOCKLEY, TX – One person sustained minor injuries in a fiery FedEx truck crash that happened on U.S. 290 East on Tuesday.
The fiery collision took place along Becker Road and warranted a quick response from local fire crews and Harris County deputies, according to Fox26Houston. Officials shut down the highway so fire crews could extinguish the flames.
After several hours, firefighters were able to extinguish the flames from the truck. The process took longer than anticipated since the back of the truck’s trailer kept catching on fire, officials said.
Despite the nature of the collision, the driver was spared from serious injuries but was hospitalized for minor wounds.
