ARITON, AL – An 81-year-old man died after rear-ending a big rig in Ariton Saturday, according to WDHN.
Preliminary details from the coroner’s office revealed that the male driver, Carroll Grant Hughes from Troy, crashed into the back of the big rig at the stopped red light.
Hughes succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Officials transported his body to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is leading the investigation.
