Police first announced the crash at 6:39 a.m. and said it took place on the 13500th block. Due to the nature of the collision, officials had to shut down the majority of the interstate so crews could clean up the debris from the crash and remove the affected vehicle. By 7:30 a.m., officials were able to reopen all lanes.

Authorities have not specified the exact cause of the crash or the extent of injuries sustained.
