Fatal T-bone crash involving tractor-trailer reported in West Palm Beach 

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – A tractor-trailer driver attempted to turn left from Southern Boulevard onto Lang Road, which resulted in a fatal T-bone crash that killed a motorcyclist.

The deadly T-bone collision happened around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to CBS 12. The motorcyclist, operating a 2005 Suzuki GSXR 1000 motorcycle, crashed into the right rear-end tandem axles attached to the truck and succumbed to his injuries at the scene before 9:45 a.m.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said the motorcyclist did wear a helmet at the time of the T-bone collision and suspects he may have been speeding. They have since identified him as 38-year-old Francisco Renta Jr.

The truck driver declined medical attention and appeared to have been spared from injuries.

Officials did issue temporary lane closures so crews could clear the scene.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the details behind the crash.
