One dead after train-cement truck collision in Louise

LOUISE, TX – One person lost their life to a collision between a train and a cement truck on County Road 315 North Thursday, CrossRoads Today reports.

The train and cement truck collided around 10 a.m., and the force of the crash caused the truck driver to be thrown from their vehicle.

Fort Bend County HazMat crews and the Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the scene. After arriving, officials shut down the majority of the northbound directions for the clean-up process and left one lane open to accommodate the flow of traffic.

Troopers did not specify if the ejected truck driver was killed or if it was another occupant. In addition, authorities have not disclosed the events that led to the crash.

New details, including the victim’s identity, will be added after our team learns more.
