NORWOOD, GA – A 43-year-old woman lost her life to a head-on collision involving a log truck that happened on U.S. 278 near Church Street Wednesday.
According to WRDW, the woman was driving west on eastbound U.S. 278 when she crashed into the log truck head-on. The Warren County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene after 12 p.m. and declared the woman dead at the scene.
The woman has since been identified as Stacy Yvette King.
First responders confirmed King and the log truck driver were the sole occupants of their vehicles. At this time, officials have not verified whether the truck driver was injured.
The coroner’s office is working to determine why King was driving the wrong way.
