VSP investigates multi-vehicle crash with trash truck in Hampton 

HAMPTON, VA – Virginia State Police are investigating the details behind a multi-vehicle crash involving a trash truck on I-64 West Monday.

Police received a call after 2:45 a.m. to head on the westbound lanes near Mercury Boulevard, according to WAVY. The details behind the multi-vehicle crash remain scarce. However, based on what officials know so far, it seems that the driver of a trash truck had spilled a load, promoting a several-hour shutdown on the interstate.

All lanes opened before 8 a.m.

There were no reports of injuries so far.
