BREVARD COUNTY, FL – A hit-and-run suspect driving a semi-truck was arrested after causing a crash on I-95 South that killed two men Friday.
Florida Highway Patrol told WPBF that the events unfolded at 10 a.m., when the semi-truck driver seemed to have lost control of his truck, slammed into a parked Ram 1500 pickup truck on the shoulder, and two men walking along the pickup truck. A short time later, the tractor-trailer driver fled the scene, and the men suffered fatal injuries.
Law enforcement later found the suspect in Palm Beach County and arrested him on “two counts of hit and run involving death.” Officials have identified him as 36-year-old Hassan Abdirahman Sheikh Ali.
