LAUDERHILL, FL – Fire crews were summoned to a fiery rollover big rig collision that happened on Florida’s Turnpike near Sunrise Boulevard Wednesday.
David Platt, an eyewitness, captured a video of the wreck and sent it to NBC Miami. The driver of the truck appeared to have lost control of their vehicle, plowed into the median, and then flipped over. Moments later, the truck caught on fire.
Due to the severity of the wreck, fire crews and Florida Highway Patrol shut down all of the southbound lanes on the Turnpike.
It is unclear if anyone was injured.
