GEORGE COUNTY, MS – A 63-year-old man died and his two passengers were hospitalized following a crash with a Freightliner truck on Highway 98 Sunday.
Mississippi Highway Patrol told Sun Herald the 63-year-old man was driving a Jeep Cherokee when he drifted out of his lane and then struck the truck.
The 63-year-old man died a short time later. He has been identified as Kinh Chau from Little Elm, Texas.
Chau’s Jeep passengers are listed in stable condition. Authorities identified them as 58-year-old Ana Phu and 18-year-old Dana Chau.
The truck driver, identified as 48-year-old David Ables, from Vancleave, appeared to have been spared from injuries.
Troopers started an investigation and have not released additional information.
