Utility truck hits semi in Dothan, sending 2 to hospital

DOTHAN, AL – A driver and passenger of a utility truck were hospitalized after crashing into a semi-truck on the outskirts of Dothan near Golf Creek Friday.

WDHN said the collision occurred at the intersection of Old Webb Road and Omussee Road and warranted a response from several police cars and a couple of fire trucks. After arriving, EMS crews took the two utility truck occupants to a local hospital. The driver’s and passenger’s conditions remain unclear, but officials did confirm that one of them needed medical treatment for a leg injury.

Despite the severity of the wreck, the semi-driver was spared from injuries.

Crews issued some temporary lane closures to clean up debris from the crash and for the investigation process.
