CUTHBERT, GA – A 64-year-old woman driving a Toyota failed to yield at a stop sign when she crashed into a big rig, which claimed her life and her grandson’s life Monday.
WALB said the collision happened after 8 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 27 and GA 126, just north of Randolph Country Club. The impact led both drivers to lose control of their vehicles and come to rest in a wooded area. Georgia State Patrol said the woman’s car caught on fire. Moments later, the female driver, Cathy Milner, and her grandson, a Pataula Charter Academy student, suffered fatal wounds.
No significant amount of damage and injuries were reported for the truck driver.
