RABUN CO., GA – A head-on crash involving a semi-truck near Clayton left one man dead and another injured on Monday morning.
According to a report by Now Habersham, Francis P. Hanrahan, 58, was heading south on US-441 near Old 441 North at about 9:40 a.m. when his vehicle crossed into the oncoming lanes and collided with an northbound Peterbilt AA semi-truck.
Hanrahan suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
The truck’s driver, 46-year-old Brian L. Doyle, sustained minor injuries and refused transport to the hospital.
The collision left both vehicles disabled, leading to a complete shutdown of the highway near the crash site for approximately four hours while investigators worked at the scene.
