MEMPHIS, TN – Authorities were dispatched to a semi-truck accident Friday afternoon on Interstate 55 in southwest Memphis, according to FOX 13 Memphis.
The collision unfolded on the northbound lanes at Person Avenue, in the city’s Riverside area. It was first recorded by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) at about 2:47 p.m.
Very few details regarding the incident have been shared, but TDOT cameras captured visible damage to the front-end of the involved tractor-trailer. The scene had several lanes of traffic shut down.
No injuries were immediately reported, and it’s unclear whether anyone is expected to be charged or cited.
