Man, 68, loses life after semi overturns on wet Brown Co. road

BROWN COUNTY, TX – A 68-year-old man was said to have been speeding while driving his semi-truck on a wet FM 45 Road, which led to a rollover crash that claimed his life Monday.

Abilene Reporter-News said the solo collision happened before 7:45 a.m. Prior to the 2016 Peterbilt 389 truck overturning, the driver, Aldo Ray McMahon, had missed a curve. Despite wearing a seatbelt, McMahon perished at the scene.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said McMahon was going over the 65 mph speed limit and confirmed slick road conditions played a part in the crash.
