Driver hospitalized after semi hits trees in Jacksonville 

JACKSONVILLE, NC – A driver of a semi-truck was rushed to a hospital after colliding with some trees on the NC Highway 24 Wednesday.

The collision happened along Butler Drive, WCNT said. After arriving, Jacksonville Police shut down the majority of lanes but left one open for the scene clearance process.

Officers said the driver is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries. They have not said why the motorist lost control of his truck.
