Driver arrested after wrong-way crash involving flatbed truck on I-4 injures 3

SEFFNER, FL – A driver is facing a number of charges in connection to a suspected DUI crash involving a flatbed truck and four other vehicles on I-4 early Friday that left three people injured.

According to WFLA, a pickup truck was traveling east in the westbound lanes of t I-4 near North Kingsway Road at about 3:40 a.m. when it crashed into an oncoming Mercedes-Benz.

A pickup truck in the center lane attempted to avoid the crash by braking, but a flat-bed truck hit it from behind. The impact resulted in the pickup truck rotating onto the shoulder and colliding with a parked tractor-trailer while the flatbed overturned.

The wrong-way driver, identified as 22-year-old Arda Sengun, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence with serious bodily injury.

Three additional drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospitals.
