MIAMI GARDENS, FL – A Nissan driver was hospitalized, and a woman inside a semi-truck passed away following a multi-vehicle crash near the Hard Rock Stadium Monday.
CBS News said this collision happened on the southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike. The driver of a white semi-truck had collided with the black Nissan sedan, forcing the car to then crash into another big rig. The woman, who was inside one of the large trucks, was ejected from the cab and fell onto the floor, which resulted in her death.
After arriving, EMS crews transported the Nissan motorist to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds.
Crews shut down the Turnpike for several hours to accommodate the scene clearance procedure and the Florida Highway Patrol’s investigation.
