Denton PD investigates I-35E multi-auto wreck with trash truck

DENTON, TX – Police are investigating the details behind a multi-vehicle crash involving a trash truck that ended in a Hazmat spill on I-35E near North Texas Boulevard Monday.

This collision took place around 7 a.m. and led the dump truck to get stuck in a lane divider, according to WFAA. Due to the severity of this wreck, it was inevitable that traffic would only pile up, which started to become more noticeable by 8:30 a.m. as delays could be seen towards Loop 288.

Fire Crews and first responders cleared the scene by 9:30 a.m. and lifted all closures by 10 a.m.

At this time, the exact cause of this crash and reports of injuries/hospitalizations remain under wraps. New details will be provided as our newsroom learns more.
