2 killed after tractor-trailer overturns on SC-215 in Fairfield Co.

FAIRFIELD CO., SC – Two men were killed after a tractor-trailer overturned near Jenkinsville earlier this month, according to The State.

Troopers with SHP say a 2010 Peterbilt crane truck was southbound on Monticello Road at about 4:15 p.m. on Friday, July 7th when the driver lost control and struck a ditch. The vehicle then hit an sign before overturning on the side of the roadway.

Both the driver, 52-year-old James Lee Hall, and his 44-year-old passenger, Orbelin Rodriquez Gomez, were pronounced dead at the scene.

No additional injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
