JACKSON COUNTY, MS – An 18-wheeler overturned Monday, December 30, on Interstate 10 near the Pascagoula River Bridge in Gautier, according to WLOX.
The incident took place on the westbound highway and was first reported shortly after 9:00 a.m.
Little information has been made available at this time, but the Mississippi Highway Patrol said Gautier Police Department officers were attending to the scene. By the time of WLOX’s report, both westbound lanes had reopened after a closure, but traffic remained slow-moving.
It was not immediately apparent whether anyone was seriously hurt and/or had to be hospitalized.
