COVINGTON COUNTY, MS – Significant delays were reported Friday morning in Mount Olive after a rollover crash involving a log truck and an 18-wheeler, according to WDAM.
The collision took place at the busy, lighted intersection of U.S. Route 49 and MS Highway 35. It was first reported at around 8:20 a.m.
Although officials have not specified what led to the wreck, both trucks overturned as a result.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol and medical personnel were among several area agencies that responded to the scene, which caused major traffic congestion.
