UNICOI COUNTY, TN – Emergency crews responded to a rollover crash involving a semi-truck early Wednesday, November 20, on Interstate 26 in Erwin, according to SuperTalk929.
The incident occurred on an unspecified stretch of the eastbound highway shortly after 3:00 a.m.
No information regarding the cause of the wreck has been shared, but the Tennessee Highway Patrol said a semi-truck towing a tanker trailer of milk collided with a concrete barrier. The impact sent the semi onto its side, forcing both lanes of the interstate to shut down in the area.
Officials indicated that the truck driver was not hurt. No other vehicles appear to have been involved.
By about 9:00 a.m., the scene had been cleared from the roadway.
