One life claimed in chain-reaction crash with semi in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, TX – One person had struck a vehicle on I-20 West, leading to a chain-reaction and multi-vehicle wreck with a semi-truck that claimed one life Tuesday.

MyTexasDaily said that just before 7:45 a.m. (near Hemphill Street), the driver of the semi-truck had reduced their speed. One of the drivers did not slow down and then hit a vehicle in front of them, causing that rear-end wreck.

One of the occupants who was hit had passed away at the collision site.

The Fort Worth Police Department started an investigation and has not released additional information, which includes any citations or charges.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office is withholding the victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.
