LENOIR CITY, TN – One driver sustained minor wounds in a semi-truck rollover wreck on I-75 South at mile marker 84 Wednesday morning, WATE reports.
A short time later, a collision between a second tractor-trailer followed, but this one included a sedan. No one from those vehicles, however, was harmed.
Due to the nature of both collisions, Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, Loudon County Fire/Rescue, and others had to shut down a majority of the southbound lanes beginning around 6:30 a.m., and then allowed one lane to reopen to accommodate the morning traffic flow. Still, despite the reopening of one lane, commuters in the area were asked to take I-40 West along the I-75/I-40 interchange so crews could continue to clear the scene and make road conditions safe for everyone.
All lane closures were lifted by 11:30 a.m.
