DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC – A Chevrolet sedan driver passed away, and their passenger was seriously injured after colliding with another car, a trash truck, and a tree Friday.
Counton2 said this collision happened before 4:30 p.m. when the Chevrolet sedan crashed into a Dodge sedan on U.S. 15 near Smoak Hill Road, which caused the Chevrolet sedan to collide with the garbage truck and then a tree.
South Carolina Highway Patrol confirmed the Chevrolet driver perished at the scene, while their passenger was rushed to a local hospital.
Troopers confirmed that the other drivers were spared from physical harm.
SCHP launched an investigation but has not released additional information, which includes the circumstances behind this wreck.
