Driver escapes injuries as trash truck hits power pole in Fairfax 

FAIRFAX, VA – A driver of a trash truck appeared to escape injuries after crashing their truck into a power pole, which resulted in some downed power lines Monday.

Local police said they received a call around 6 a.m. to head to Fair Ridge Drive along U.S. 50 in the Fair Lakes district, according to Daily Voice. After arriving, officials closed both directions to accommodate the scene clearance and investigation process.

Utility crews did have to make repairs to downed wires and have not mentioned when power was restored and authorities who started an investigation have not confirmed the events behind this crash.
