ANDREWS, SC – A driver of a 2017 Kia Sedona cut off a logging truck, causing a t-bone collision that injured the truck motorist and claimed the lives of two people Friday.
South Carolina Highway Patrol told Count on News Channel 2 that after 9 a.m., the truck (going west) driver had t-boned the car (going north) when the Sedona pulled in front of the truck on U.S. Highway 521 near Ten Acre Road.
The two people who lost their lives from the Kia were identified as 18-year-old Hailey Patterson (the driver) and a 12-year-old child (whose name won’t be mentioned in this article due to her status as a minor.)
Troopers confirmed the truck driver was hospitalized for unspecified injuries.
