Driver’s life claimed as van collides with semi in Scott Co. 

SCOTT COUNTY, MS – A 44-year-old man operating a 2009 Chevrolet Express van lost his life after colliding with a 2021 Freightliner M2 SK Monday. 

This crash happened on northbound Highway 25 when the Freightliner driver slowed his speed to collect garbage, according to Clarion Ledger

After the Mississippi Highway Patrol arrived at the scene around 10:06 a.m., they declared the van driver, Paul Johnson from Jackson, dead at the scene. 

Troopers did not say if the Freightliner driver, 53-year-old William Golden from Little Rock, was harmed.
