CLINTON, MS – A man driving a UPS truck had to go to the hospital after he was extricated from his truck upon getting struck by a train Tuesday.
This collision happened around 6:30 p.m. in the the vicinity of Clinton Boulevard and Lindale Street, according to WJTV. City officials said the train (affiliated with Union Pacific) struck the truck driver near Winstead Drive, and the impact pushed his truck for approximately half a mile before it came to rest.
First responders closed Clinton Boulevard, starting at Morrison Drive and ending at Easthaven Drive.
Clinton Police and fire crews have not provided an update on his current condition or said if anyone would face charges.
